Scott Angelo is the Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer of UpskillAir, a mobile microlearning platform purpose-built for aviation training. He is also a First Officer at United Airlines flying the Boeing 737 and a recently retired U.S. Navy Commander with 25 years of aviation experience. Based in Annapolis, Maryland, Scott brings a rare combination of military flight operations, airline experience, and technology entrepreneurship to his mission of fixing how aviation knowledge is transferred—in flight schools, military units, and airlines alike.

Military Aviation Career

Scott’s Navy career spans two decades of flying and operational leadership:

  • 25 Years of Aviation: Flew the P-3 Orion, C-130, and S-3 across a full career in Naval aviation
  • VX-30 Test & Evaluation Squadron: Served a tour at the Navy’s test and evaluation squadron, where his team filmed NASA shuttle launches and chased Tomahawk missiles for weapons development programs
  • Retired U.S. Navy Commander: Retired in September 2024 after 20 years of active service
  • University of Maryland NROTC: Earned his commission on an NROTC scholarship; took his first T-34 ride the summer of his freshman year and never reconsidered
